Courtney Slanaker is the Executive Director of World Care, a Tucson, AZ-based humanitarian organization. In this episode you will hear about her amazing internship experience in Guatemala where a chance encounter with a young man with a rare genetic condition, Rufino, changed her life, his health, and caused her to start her own organization, Walk With, while still a college student.

Courtney is a Tucson, AZ native and a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Public Health. In her role of Executive Director of World Care, she is in charge of the day-to-day management as well as when a disaster relief effort needs to be coordinated. Walk With is now one of the programs under the auspices of World Care.
